I am a Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and completed my undergraduate and post graduate training in South Africa. I have both South African and Irish Specialist registration. I have successfully completed fellowships in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Taiwan, and worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in HSE for 3.5 years. I am also Board certified for the American Academy for Aesthetic Medicine.
My interests include Head and Neck Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery.
Professor Kelly is a fully accredited specialist plastic surgeon, registered with the Irish Medical Council. He is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery and is an examiner with the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. He is a full member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons (IAPS), the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and the British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Professor Kelly has been appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Plastic Surgery at the National University of Ireland, Galway and is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at University Hospital, Galway. He also has admission privileges at Bon Secours Hospital Galway and the Galway Clinic.
Professor Kelly has trained in Dublin, Cork, Aylesbury, Boston, Texas, and Melbourne and has experience in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. His research interests are in Tissue Engineering and he currently collaborates with the National Centre for Bioengineering Science (NCBES) in Galway on many research projects that are unique to plastic surgery. His clinical interests are in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
Recent Advances:
Total Body Photography and Digital Dermoscopy is now available and provides a detailed record of all pigmented lesions. This may help in the early diagnosis of melanoma. Prof. Kelly provides a comprehensive service from initial assessment, diagnostic biopsy, definitive surgery including flap reconstruction and sentinel node biopsy. Surgery also includes complete resection of metastatic nodes if confirmed to regional nodal basins.

Mr. Niall McInerney is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in The Bon Secours Hospital, The Galway Clinic, Galway University Hospital, and Ennis General Hospital. He trained in Galway, Cork, Dublin, and Toronto and has completed an international fellowship in Breast Reconstruction and Microsurgery.
Niall offers all aspects of plastic surgery care to patients at the Bon Secours Hospital. He is a member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons.
PROFESSIONAL DETAILS:
Niall is a native of Galway and graduated from NUI Galway in 2006. He obtained a Masters degree from NUI Galway in Breast Cancer Genetics, in conjunction with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute and Cancer Research UK in London.
Niall received exposure to all aspects of Plastic Surgery during his specialist training in Ireland. Niall then completed a fellowship in Breast Reconstruction in Toronto.
This fellowship involved all aspects of breast reconstruction, both microsurgical and implant based, following treatment for breast cancer.
Niall also had extensive exposure to all aspects of aesthetic surgery during his fellowship.

Padraic Regan qualified from the National University of Ireland in Galway in 1981. He did a General Surgical training in Galway and Dublin before commencing his training in Plastic Surgery at Stoke Mandeville, Plymouth and Oxford. He was appointed as a Plastic Surgeon in Stoke Mandeville in 1993. In 1997 he joined the consultant staff at Galway University Hospital where he remains to date. He has served as an SAC Member for 5 years on the Surgical Advisory Committee. He has been an Examiner and Assessor of the Intercollegiate Exams in Plastic Surgery from 2002 to 2014. He is currently Chairman of the Medical Board based at Galway University Hospital and a lecturer at National University of the Ireland in Galway. He is presently the President of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons.
