- The hospital Chapel is located on the ground floor and is open 24 hours a day, providing an oasis of calm to all for prayer and reflection. All services are transmitted from the Chapel to the patients' rooms on the T.V. Channel 7. During the day reflective music is also available on the same channel.
- Mass is celebrated daily in the hospital chapel at 9.30 a.m. Eucharistic Adoration follows Mass on Wednesdays until 10.30a.m. Eucharist (Holy Communion) is distributed in patiens' rooms to those to those who wish to receive at 2.30pm. on weekdays, amd after 9.30am. Mass on weekends and public holidays. In certain circumstances it may be necessary to distribute Eucharist to some patients (who wish to receive) before/after daily Mass. Holy water is available on request from Healthcare Chapain on duty.
- The Healthcare Chaplain on duty is available from 8.30am to 5.00pm on weekdays and 8.30am to 12.30pm at weekends and public holidays.
- A Catholic priest is available on request for the administration of sacraments according to the needs and wishes of Catholic patients, families of patients and staff in the hospital. Ministers and Leaders of other faith/ spiritual traditions can also be contacted to visit on request.
- The Pastoral Care Department respects the right of people to choose whether or not they wish to participate in religious activities. It also respects the right of people to have access to a Minister/ Leader / Representative of their own faith/ spiritual / philisophical /ideologiocal traditions.
The Hospital Restaurant is located on the Ground Floor adjacent to Reception and is open to patients, visitors and staff.
Restaurant Opening Hours Are
- Opening hours are 8.00am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday
- 8.30am to 4.00pm at weekends and bank holidays.
In addition, vending machines are located on the Ground Floor of the Hospital. Due to Health and Safety regulations, there are restrictions on certain foodstuffs that can be taken from the Restaurant.
The role of the Pharmacy is to optimise patients medication therapy and care, through the safe, reliable and efficient supply, dispensing, distribution and control of all pharmaceutical products to ward and retail outlet. The Pharmacy Department keeps abreast of Pharmaceutical developments and maintains the highest principles of moral, ethical and legal conduct.
The Pharmacy Department Also Provides
- Appropriateness reviews for medication orders.
- Co-ordinates the selection and procurement of medications.
- Co-ordinates the storage of medications throughout the hospital.
- Retail Pharmacy Service for Private Prescriptions and “Over-The Counter” Medications (GMS service is not available).
- Medication information support for staff.
- Antimicrobial Stewardship

The Pharmacy Department is located on the ground floor of the Hospital, adjacent to the Chapel and Restaurant. Our team comprises of Pharmacists, Technicians & Pharmacy Assistants. We deliver a Pharmacy service to both patients & members of the public.

A choice of meals will be available to you. If you have any special dietary requirements you should inform your nurse. Every care is taken to ensure that the food you eat while in hospital is safe and wholesome. We will ask you to state your name and date of birth prior to receiving any special dietary meals; again this is to ensure that you receive the correct meals, as intended for you. If you have been advised by the healthcare team to fast or to avoid certain foods, please adhere to these guidelines.
Meals Are Served at the Following Times
- Breakfast 07.30am – 08.00am
- Lunch 12.00pm – 12.45pm
- Evening Meal 04.45pm – 06.00pm
Only food supplied by the hospital should be eaten by patients staying in hospital. The Hospital will not accept any responsibility for food eaten by patients that has not been produced by the hospital.
