A native of West Limerick, Mr Conor Lyons graduated with honours from NUIG in 2015. Mr Lyons completed his Ophthalmic training in both Ireland and the UK and has worked in various hospitals during this time, University Hospital Limerick, The Stanley Eye Unit in Wales, Royal Gwent Hospital Wales and University Hospital Wales.
Mr Lyons was awarded a Fellowship of The Royal College of Ophthalmology UK in 2021 and received his certificate of completion in surgical training in 2023. Mr Lyons also recently completed a subspecialty Fellowship in glaucoma surgery at the Bristol Eye Hospital. In addition to management of patients with glaucoma, Mr Lyons is also trained in all aspects of comprehensive ophthalmology including cataract surgery. Mr Lyons will hold rooms at the Eye Clinic here in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.
