Consultant Anaesthesiologist Dr. Michael Gill graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2000 and received his Specialist training at the East of Scotland School of Anaesthesia. He successfully obtained Fellowship of the College of Anaesthetists in 2006. Dr. Gill was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2010 and accepted a Consultant position at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital near Glasgow, Scotland.
During this time, Dr. Gill published research on local anaesthesia and co-authored guidelines on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery. He developed Outreach Pre-operative Assessment services for island communities in Scotland to improve and standardise pathways of care.
Dr. Gill was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee in March 2021.
