Medical Day unit
The medical day unit is a specialised Outpatient Clinic in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.
The medical day unit is a self-contained nurse led clinic where you have blood drawn, intravenous medication given and are closely monitored by the Nursing Team. The Nursing staff liaise closely with your consultants regarding your ongoing treatment and follow up care. Subsequent appointments can be booked by the Infusion Team if further infusions are necessary. We facilitate a range of infusions including infusions for Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Iron deficiency.
Infusions can take from 2 hours up to 6 hours depending on your treatment which has been prescribed for you by your Consultant. A light snack will be provided to you during your stay. The nursing staff will answer any concerns or questions you may have regarding your
