The ENT department is led by Consultant ENT Surgeon Mr Ishteaque Ahmed. Mr Ahmed provides a comprehensive evaluation and medical/surgical treatment of both adult and paediatric patients suffering from ear, nose and throat (ENT) conditions.

Ishteaque Ahmed is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee and has completed his Specialist training in both the UK and in Ireland.
Mr Ahmed has partcipated in publications, research projects and presentations; including presenting his work at the Munster ENT Group and Irish Otolaryngology society meeting and the Annual Meeting of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology.
Mr Ahmed’s teaching experience includes; lecturing to third and fourth year medical students at Cork University Hospital. Mr Ahmed regularly holds presentations for the para medical staff of the HSE, which includes lectures to the district and community nurses.
Mr Ahmed a specialist interest in Nasal conditions and all aspects of General ENT Surgery.
