The Dermatology department at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is led by Consultant Dermatologist Dr Noirin Ni Scannlain.
Dr Ni Scannlain has practiced in Kerry for 29 years, gaining vast experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of skin, hair and nail conditions.

The Wound Clinic at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is led by Consultant Dermatologist Dr Norin Ni Scannlain and two Tissue Viability Nurses. The clinic focuses on the holistic assessment of both patient and wound, the diagnosis of wound aetiology and the formulation of care plans to be used in conjunction with the public health system.
Dr Noirin Ni Scannlain is a Consultant Dermatologist at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee. Dr Ni Scannlain completed all of her Specialist training in Ireland, appointed at major Irish hospitals such as The National Children’s Hospital in Dublin and Cork Regional Hospital. Dr Ni Scannlain has taken the opportunity to teach throughout her career; teaching undergraduate medical students and student nurses at St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin. Dr Ni Scannlain was involved in organising the Dermatology section of a Basic Clinical Science course for Membership and has also presented papers at the Dermatology section of the Royal Irish Academy of Medicine.
Dr Ni Scannlain has a specialist interest in all aspects of Dermatology with extensive experience in treating patients with psoriasis.
