TJ O’Connor is the Manager of the Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee. Bon Secours Tralee has approximately 600 staff employed on its state of the art campus and will accommodate approximately 7,500 in-patients in 2017.
The hospital is part of the Bon Secours Health System which is Ireland’s largest independent Hospital Group and has a network of modern JCI accredited hospitals in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Tralee.
The turnover in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee in 2017 is projected to be €45M and the hospital accommodates just under 50 Consultants and their practices.
TJ O’Connor was formerly the General Manager of the University Hospital Kerry and prior to that worked within various roles in the Health Service Executive for the previous ten years including in the Regional Directors Office in Galway and in the Finance Managers Office in the Health Service in Mayo.
TJ is originally from Ballyduff in North Kerry where he currently resides along with his wife and four children. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and prior to working in health care worked in the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), the Comptroller and Auditor General’s Office (C&AG) and various other roles in industry and practice.
