>John McPhillips is the Group HR Director of the Bon Secours Health System, Ireland’s largest independent Hospital Group which has a network of modern, JCI accredited Acute Hospitals. These are located in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Tralee, together with a Care Village in Cork and a Consultation Centre in Limerick. The Group employs over 2,800 personnel, who, together with 350 leading consultants work in partnership to provide the highest standard of Advanced Medicine Exceptional Care.
John McPhillips was formerly the HR Director with St Vincent’s Healthcare Group, incorporating St Vincent’s University Hospital, St Michael’s Hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital, with UCD as it’s Academic partner. Prior to that, John was the Group HR Director with the Irish Fisheries Service in the Semi-State sector, having worked previously in various Industrial Relations/Employee Relations roles in the Health Service.
John holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow. His primary degree is in HR and Industrial Relations. John is a fellow of the CIPD and is an accredited Workplace Mediator. During John’s career, he has been involved in developing highly professional HR functions in the Organisations’ he has worked for, providing a Strategic and ‘Value Added’ service to its customers. John has been to the forefront in leading and delivering Organisational Change and Development Programmes which have contributed to a high performance culture being embedded and sustained.
