Dermatology
Dermatology is a medical specialty focusing on skin diseases such as skin cancers, acne, moles, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, and skin conditions arising from other diseases. Our Consultant Dermatologist has weekly theatre sessions at the hospital.
Procedures include:
- Excision of Punch Biopsy
- Removal of Foreign Body
- Excision of Moles
- Excision of Skin Tags
- Excision of Melanoma & Non-Melanoma Cancer
Access to Service:
An e- referral from a GP / Consultant will be required for each patient attending the selected consultant. Please ensure an e-referral is sent via healthlink - we no longer accept fax or postal referrals.

Biography
Dr Farhana Khan is registered with the Irish medical council and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Her Post graduate qualification include:
- Diploma in Dermatology from University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff
- MRCP Ireland
- MRCP UK
Her experience include extensive work in Ireland and Pakistan in Dermatology.
She has been working as Consultant in Dermatology for the last 10 years at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons.
