Biography
Dr Murphy graduated from UCC in 2005, accruing several undergraduate awards.
Radiology specialist training at Cork & Mercy University Hospitals was completed in 2013, with awarding of the gold medal for final examinations.
A year of lecturing and research was then undertaken with the UCC departments of Anatomy and Radiology. Doctor of Medicine (MD) was bestowed for work presented via thesis.
Dr Murphy completed fellowships in Abdominal Imaging at Vancouver General Hospital, and Musculoskeletal Radiology at St Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, before taking up a post as Consultant Radiologist at Mercy University Hospital in 2017.
Further post graduate training was undertaken in breast radiology at BreastCheck Southern Unit in 2022 and 2023.
