Chief Information Security Officer
Tony McKeown is Chief Information Security Officer for the Bon Secours Health System group of 5 acute hospitals and a Care Village located in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Tralee and Dublin.
Tony is with BSHS since 2006, initially with the Cork hospital as I.T Manager until 2015 at which time he was appointed to a Group role as Head of Architecture & Development. He was appointed Chief Information Officer in 2018 and in May 2024 took up the position of Chief Information Security Officer.
Prior to joining BSHS, Tony worked in the Software Development industry, principally on Web content applications for banking and claims adjudication solutions for health Insurance clients such as BlueCross BlueShield. Earlier, he spent a number of years as an Enterprise Content Management Consultant with Pharma MNCs.
Tony holds an Executive MBA from University College Cork, an MSc in Software Development from Cork Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the Open University.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the Irish Computer Society, is certified as a Project Manager by the International Project Management Association and is a Certified Information Security Manager (ISACA)
