Hospital Facilities
Chapel
- The hospital Chapel is located on the ground floor of the hospital at the end of St Laurences ward. It is open 24 hours a day, providing an oasis of calm to all for prayer and reflection. All services are transmitted from the Chapel to the patients' rooms on the T.V. Channel 13.
- Mass is celebrated daily in the hospital chapel at 11 am. Eucharist (Holy Communion) is distributed in patients' rooms to those to those who wish to receive after 11am mass.
- If you need a Chaplain from Pastoral Care for spiritual or emotional support, prayer, sacrament or just to sit and listen, the team is available to help. The in-house team comprises of one Roman Catholic Priest, a Bon Secours Sister and three lay Chaplains. The Pastoral Care team is on duty daily and can be contacted on 01 8065327 or through the wards or main reception.
- A Catholic priest is available on request for the administration of sacraments according to the needs and wishes of Catholic patients, families of patients and staff in the hospital. Ministers and Leaders of other faith/ spiritual traditions can also be contacted to visit on request.
Restaurant
The Hospital Restaurant is located on the Ground Floor adjacent to the Reception and is open to patients, visitors and staff. The restaurant which was awarded the Gold Cap award in 2015 in food service, provides a delicious daily menu. Copies of these daily menus which are posted around the hospital and at the entrance to the restaurant.

- Monday to Friday 7.45am – 6.30pm
- Saturday 9.30am – 3.30pm
- Sundays and Public Holidays 9.30am - 6.30pm
In addition, vending machines are located on the 1st floor in the Diagnostic Hub above the Minor Theatre area.
Due to Health and Safety regulations, please note that there are restrictions on certain foodstuffs that can be taken from the Restaurant.
Pharmacy
The Hospital Pharmacy is located on the 2nd floor of the hospital. Our team comprises of Pharmacists, Technicians & Pharmacy Assistants who provide a pharmacy service to both patients & members of the public.

- Saturday 9.00am -12 noon
- Sunday and Public Holidays Closed
Do not forget that if you are bing admitted to the hospital, all drugs, alternative medicines, supplements and over the counter remedies that you might be taking at home before your admission must be brought into the hospital with you. These should be given to nursing staff on admission who will distribute them during the course of your stay. This will ensure brand continuity and also immediate availability of your prescribed medication. It also ensures that all medications taken whilst in hospital are accurately recorded into your patients’ chart.
Meals
At the Bon Secours Health System Dublin we recognise the value of good food in aiding recovery from surgery or illness. Each day, you will be given a menu so that you can choose what meals you would like on the following day. If you are a vegetarian or have a particular dietary requirements, please tell the ward staff. Allergens are listed on the menu card and we ask that you carefully review these before ordering your meal or please ask a member of your care team if you have any queries.
