Bon Secours Hospital Dublin - COVID - 19 update

Please see below details about some of the measures that we have put in place to ensure the ongoing safety of our patients and staff, updates to visiting arrangements and other general information.
All patients and visitors will be required to continue to regularly sanitise their hands during the duration of their time in the hospital.
Protecting Our Patients
We have taken a range of measures and precautions to protect our patients including:
- Adhering to national and best practice guidance.
- Provision of adequate spacing between beds and chairs
- Equipping all staff with the appropriate level of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Additional cleaning and decontamination measures
Visitors
From 29th May 2023, visiting hours have been updated to the following:
- 14:00 – 16:00 Monday to Friday
- 18:30 – 20:00 Monday to Friday
- 14:00 – 15:30 and 18:30 – 20:00 Saturday and Sunday
Visiting outside of these hours is strictly at the discretion of the nurse in charge of each ward. A maximum of two visitors per patient are allowed and children under the 16 are not allowed to visit.
Exceptions will apply in special circumstances such as for relatives of those receiving oncology, palliative or end of life care.
All patient visitors will be required to sanitise their hands on arrival to the hospital.
General Advice
If you have had exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 14 days or have symptoms of the virus you should contact the hospital in relation to your appointment.
