The Hospital Chapel is a focal point and is open to all. Our Chapel offers a sacred space of comfort, solace and healing to each and every person.
As a Hospital community we celebrate the Eucharist daily at 11.00am.
Holy Communion is distributed to all wards on Sundays and on request every other day.
All services in the Chapel are relayed through our Television network.
During the day reflective music is also played on the channel.

Sacrament of the Sick is celebrated on the First Tuesday of the month during Mass at 11.00 am and is also available on request. Contact can be made through the ward with the Chaplain on duty through main Reception. Telephone 1600.
Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession is available on request and daily after Mass.

The Hospital Restaurant is located on the Ground Floor adjacent to Reception and is open to patients, visitors and staff.

The hospital shop is situated at the main entrance to the General Hospital.

In addition, vending machines are located on the Ground Floor of the Hospital. Due to Health and Safety regulations, there are restrictions on certain foodstuffs that can be taken from the Restaurant.
Flowers or potted plants are no longer allowed at the Hospital for Health and Safety and Infection Control purposes.
The Pharmacy department in Bon Secours Health System Cork is located adjacent to the rear entrance of the Hospital in Block 6.
The Pharmacy has a large dispensary and a chemotherapy Compounding Unit. All pharmacists are registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. Our team comprises of Pharmacists and Technicians who provide a pharmacy service to both patients and members of the public.

Do not forget that if you are being admitted to the hospital, all drugs, alternative medicines, supplements and over the counter remedies that you might be taking at home before your admission must be brought into the hospital with you. These should be given to nursing staff on admission who will distribute them during the course of your stay. This will ensure brand continuity and also immediate availability of your prescribed medication. It also ensures that all medications taken whilst in hospital are accurately recorded into your patients’ chart.
The hospital provides a free Wi-Fi service to patients. Search for the network entitled Guest and the password is available from the Reception Desk.
The Daffodil Centre is a Cancer Information Service, provided by the Irish Cancer Society, for cancer patients and their families. The centre is staffed by an Irish Cancer Society Nurse and is located on the ground floor, at the end of the corridor past the reception area and the hospital restaurant. The opening times are as follows:
