Neurophysiology

Neurophysiology is a branch of physiology, the study of how the body works, concerned with the brain and nervous system.

Neurophysiology is a branch of Neurology that specialises in recording and interpreting electrical signals from the nervous system (brain and nerves).

The Department of Clinical Neurophysiology offers a range of Neurophysiological investigations. Staff include a Neurophysiology and Neurology Consultant (Dr Peter Kinirons) and experienced Neurophysiologists (Claire, Claudia, Iris and Sorcha).

The department believes in a multidisciplinary model, working closely with specialist Neurology nurses, Consultant Neurologists, and the Paediatric team.
