Special interests include Cross Sectional Imaging & Interventional Radiology.
"I qualified with my medical degree from UCC in 1985 and completed my Medical training in Cork University Hospital and recieving my MRCPI in 1993 and FRCPI in 2011. I completed my Registrar Training Scheme in Diagnostic Radiology at St. James's Hospital and Royal College of Radiologists in Ireland & London, leading to FFR RCSI and FRCR. I received an MSc from UCD in 1993 on ‘Radiological Evaluation of the denervated Stomach’. My Radiology Fellowship training began in the Division of Intervention Radiology and Cross-Sectional Imaging at the University Of California Irvine, USA in July 1993. I subsequently joined the staff at UCI until 2002, initially as assistent and then associate Professor being Director of the Divisions of Vascular Interventional Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Ultrasound at different stages. I am a certified member of the American Board of Radiology with added Qualification in Interevention Radiology since 1996.
I am a presently Senior Clinical Lecturer in Radiology with University College Cork & fulltime consultant Radiologist at the Bon secours Cork since 2003.
