Treatment and supportive care for women with breast conditions involves a number of different medical and allied health care professionals. Evidence indicates that a team approach to care, in which health care professionals together consider all relevant treatment options and develop an individual treatment plan for each patient, can reduce mortality and improve quality of life for the patient.
In the Specialist Breast Care Centre our multidisciplinary team consists of breast surgeons, breast care nurse, medical oncologists, radiation oncologist, radiologists, pathologists, and allied health professionals.
